_at the end of a line, a circle by artist Kristin Nelson.
Using traditional craft processes like knitting and net-making paired with non-traditional materials, Kristin playfully subverts a range of established binaries. The lines we draw between what is deemed useful or dysfunctional, amateur or professional, valuable or disposable, public or private are no match for her gentle wit and wise hands.

Who’s at the Party (2)? by Alice Crawford
Whimsical sculptural figurines at a party explore communication and inclusion issues for those with low hearing.
An exploration of the representation of Alice Crawford’s understanding of the people around her, from the bits of information she gleans from a noisy party environment; this time with the help of an assistive listening device. Making connections is difficult; background noise interferes with conversation. Words become broken sounds, like a single vowel. Parts of words are not heard and have no meaning. Hence, conversations can be misconstrued, leading to frustration and isolation.
