ASSIGNMENT  Winnipeg artists Eduardo Aquino and Juca Aquino
An exhibition of recent works based on their last urban investigations and speculations on the complex dichotomies between representation and abstraction.

The show is a collection of drawings, prints, paintings, objects, and sculptures questioning the nature of the art object as it is displaced from its original vocation, assuming new meanings when now transiting the art circuit.

Sofar Sounds: Discovery show
*Tickets Required See the March 6 performers HERE
Sofar Sounds is a global music community that connects artists and audiences through live music. Sofar shows transform everyday spaces — from living rooms and rooftops, to boutiques and museums — into captivating venues for intimate gigs, creating inclusive experiences that bring people closer together.

Discovery shows — Sofar's most well-known show format — consist of three 20-minute sets from emerging artists, with the location revealed only 36 hours before showtime. Only once you’ve secured your spot can you feel the anticipation. A day before the show, you’ll receive an email revealing the address and other key details. You won’t know who the artists are until they take the mic.

💥September 5
You are cordially invited to the book launch of ‘Nolanville’
Grab the book, meet with Nolan, and indulge yourself in an evening of wondrous creativity!
There will be live music, eccentric artwork, and stars to sit beneath in accompaniment to famed Winnipeg musician, artist, and poet Scott Nolan (@scott_nolan_langrud_music)!
Set-up begins at 7pm Event starts at 7:30pm Bring your own chair (or legs).
*This is a free and public event in partnership with First Fridays

“Famed musician and poet Scott Nolan has built a complex world out of paper collage, aptly titled ‘Nolanville’. Venture into the unnamed city’s seedy underbelly, its scintillating skyscrapers and downtrodden cutout characters, as vulnerable as those real strangers that we pass on the street everyday. Made up of paper and cheap glue, ‘Nolanville’ reminds us all of the fragility of our own existence. Glossy eye-candy by the poet laureate of the gutters.”
