In the Gallery Love Letters: A Timeless Experience.
This captivating exhibition celebrates the universal language of romance that has connected hearts across Canada's diverse communities for generations. Through authentic love letters, intimate artifacts, and immersive storytelling, witness the emotional journey of passion, longing, and devotion expressed through centuries, from handwritten declarations that crossed oceans to digital messages that bridge modern distances. Experience the raw emotion and tender vulnerability of real couples as they navigated courtship, separation, and reunion, proving that love truly knows no boundaries of culture, time, or circumstance. This exhibit has many interactive pieces and visitors are encouraged to explore, like for example taking postcards and as well as indulging in writing their own love letters.
5th Floor Pysanka Exhibit
For 80 years, Oseredok has been preserving the incredible treasures of Ukrainian culture —Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs)— amassing over 4,000 pieces, the biggest collection outside Ukraine.
Today, this remarkable heritage is fully digitized, cataloged, and showcased in a stunning permanent display. Despite being in the midst of a display revitalization and exhibit wide refresh, visitors can still explore the collection in person, or online. A breathtaking wall of over 4,000 Pysanky now is a powerful tribute to Ukrainian artistry, resilience, and identity. As Ukraine continues to defend its heritage, preserving and sharing these traditions is more important than ever.
Our Boutique offers Ukrainian art, cultural artifacts, and related items.

Curated by / Okanawénihcikéw Franchesca Hebert-Spence
Grass exists firmly within the mundane. Yet, it has such an emotional hold within our imagination. For example, the weekend whine of lawnmowers in the distance correlates to a middle-class aspiration. There are candles and air fresheners that mimic a “fresh cut grass” scent, signalling cleanliness.
Allison’s ambitious beaded pieces parallel the absurd amount of labour and time that goes into maintaining yards, lawns, gardens, and agricultural spaces.
In doing so, Allison’s work confronts these social constructs and offers alternatives to those futures.
Within the juxtaposition of family, land, space, and colonial critique, Allison poses the question: where are we putting our labour and for whose benefit?
