All proceeds support the continued operation and programming of First Fridays in the Exchange Inc.

We are independent, non-profit, and membership-based. Along with a grant from The Exchange District BIZ, we rely on fundraising and yearly $60 fees from our wonderful member Galleries, Studios, Shops & Restaurants to fuel First Fridays' administration and operation.

Since 2010 we have been proud to organize, administer, and present a year-round, once-a-month celebration of the Exchange District's incredible creative community. We maintain this website and a strong social media presence to support and promote our members.

Our Art Talk/Art Walk program has been a successful event since 2012 and is often a person's introduction to The Exchange District. Generously supported by The Winnipeg and Manitoba Arts Councils, we also contribute a share of the financial compensation to participating artists and personnel.

We are dedicated to bringing together artists, artist run centers, galleries, businesses & the public for a greater understanding, appreciation & promotion of the arts & the further development of a vital Exchange Area community.
