Accelerated by the pandemic, artists have been looking to virtual means to share their work worldwide. Considering the increased interest in cryptocurrencies, NFT’s and VR technology, are avatar-based works the future of art? Ruth will share the work of artists who are creating and presenting in virtual worlds, and the many interfaces and platforms that they are using. Her lecture will explore what is possible now and where virtual-world technology is going.
Live ASL interpretation provided. Auto-captions available.

611 MAIN ST The Edge Gallery and Urban Art Centre• 1-8pm. Toludare Toluwalope, our Artist in Residence, will be onsite from  to demo his work and styles, with a short artist talk at 7pm. Toludare Toluwalope (Ph.D) is a professional ceramic artist from Nigeria.
We will be taking signups for remaining class slots as well at this time. 
We are following provincial orders, proof of vaccination and masks mandatory until further notice.

MARTHA ST

11 MARTHA ST Martha Street Studio 
(Gallery viewing will be by appointment only, people are asked to please RSVP to askmartha@printmakers.mb.ca, or 204-779-6253 to book time slots.)
Open from 5-8 pm. Reception for gathered together, featuring work by Chief Lady Bird, Isaac Murdoch, Lapiztola, Lido Pimienta, and Whess Harman. Curated by Chloe Chafe, Adrienne Huard, and Mariana Muñoz Gomez and presented in partnership with Wall-to-Wall Mural + Culture Festival. 
3 people per visit will be permitted in the gallery for up to 45 minutes. Exhibition documentation of gathered together is also available online here.
