We’re jump-starting Wedding Season!
Special Bridal costumes worn for weddings go back to several ancient civilizations. These garments illustrated the family’s wealth but were seldom the “single event” outfits that are used for today. On display is a variety of dresses in our collection from western culture from the 1910s to 1995 worn by the bride on “her special day”.

We’re offering 11 wedding dresses from the 1930s to the 80's, a train, vintage headpieces and accessories. Dresses priced at just $100 or $150. In addition we’ll have wedding dress patterns, trims, laces and beadwork available. Come get an early start on your special day look!

For MCML it includes (but certainly isn’t limited to) actively working to diversify our museum collection to better reflect the community.
In 2023 we launched a fundraising drive to purchase work by artists from under-represented communities. Using these funds, MCML purchased works by ten artists.

A one-day only pop-up fundraiser: Build your own still life!
Curated by the esteemed Vanessa Reddecopp of Gossamer Flowers.
A showcase of still life floral installations by some very talented local floral designers in Winnipeg, including Stone House Creative, Deer Dutch, Blomster Designs, Juniper Jayne, Academy Florist, Oak & Lily, Fache Florals, and Gossamer Flowers.
Each installation promises to captivate with its unique interpretation, offering attendees a glimpse into the beauty of the floral world. Guests are invited to drop in at their convenience, as no tickets are required for entry.
Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to participate in various activities, including the highlight of the event – building your own floral still life or crafting a floral bouquet to take home.
These activities are available by donation, with different donation packages offered to suit every budget.
A professional photographer will be on-site to document guests’ creations, ensuring that their floral masterpieces are preserved!
